Couple of updates to the Laserfiche Cloud and Subscription Policy - if you want to make changes to your subscription licensing, let us know early! New policies being enforced March 1, 2026.

License downgrade requested within 30 days of renewal invoice date may not be fulfilled until the following renewal cycle.

Cancellation requested within 30 days of renewal invoice date may be subject to 20% cancellation fee.

After March 1, 2026 Appleby Imaging will be issuing invoices for services rendered monthly. Invoices will be issued the first week of each month for the services rendered the month previous. Fixed engagements will still be invoiced at the completion of the engagement. Backfile scanning will be billed in 30 box increments or at the completion of the scanning project. In 2025, Laserfiche announced the end-of-life of the legacy perpetual licensing schedule. The goal - migrate all legacy perpetual customers to Laserfiche Cloud or Subscription. This year, Laserfiche announced its 2026 Migration promotion.

2. 30% your first year and 10% off second year of Cloud or Subscription

Holy cow, things are changing!

Thank you, to all of our customers and your continued adoption of a digital workplace. We are so happy to support your growth and continued digital transformation with Content Management Software. Lots of change for us, too. Appleby has more than doubled in Gross Annual Revenue and grown from 3 employees in 2019 to 9 employees in 2024. We look forward to continued growth and changes coming in the next few years. First announcement - big changes for Laserfiche. Laserfiche has continued focus and development in the Laserfiche Cloud product and intends to have Cloud as the flagship product by 2030. For on-premise customers, we will potentially be looking to migrate to the Cloud, in the next 5 years, with significant incentives from Laserfiche to do so. Licenses schedules Avante and Rio - will sunset and be migrated to Cloud or Subscription in the same time frame. Definitely not an emergency, just something to put on the horizon. Lastly, On-Prem support costs will increase between 3-5% each year over the next 5 years. If your organization is interested in locking in current prices, Laserfiche is open to multi-year contracts, with review and approval, of course. In general, we charge for any and all value added engagements. However, we have implemented Evolving Support to specifically address two scenarios.

-Support modules we have built. Appleby Imaging Inc., regularly creates custom integrations that are purpose built to support the customer requirements. On occasion a Windows Update or Customer Application setting may disrupt the custom module and support is required to fix it.

-Small incremental changes. Customers often request small changes to currently deployed solutions. Reassigning a user license or making a permission change. While these changes are considered value added engagements, our intention is not to invoice each of these incremental changes. In alignment with our value proposition, digital office efficiency, we offer prepaid Evolving Support service hours to apply to these types of changes.

A large Central California cherry Grower/Packer/Shipper utilizes Laserfiche in Accounts Payable for it’s advanced approvals, reporting and and archiving. Traditionally, processing AP was a manual and time consuming process overwhelmed by paper approvals and inherent challenges.

Using Laserfiche automated workflow, the company was able to route and report based on specific vendors, amounts, coding, prior approvals and many other things, including a secondary approvals based on a specific phase is coding.
